Privacy Policy

Who runs it
Jobhunt Agent is a personal job-application assistant built and run by Ajay Kumar Singh, Richmond, Virginia, USA. It runs on its user's own computer. Contact: ak.ajaysingh@gmail.com.
What it reads from your Google account
Only after you allow it on Google's consent screen:
- Gmail, read-only: recent messages, to find replies to your job applications (recruiter messages, interview requests, rejections) and the one-time verification codes or links that job sites email you while you apply.
- Gmail drafts: it can write reply drafts in your mailbox for you to review. It never sends an email.
- Google Calendar events: it can add tentative events for interview times and check when you are busy. It never accepts or declines an invitation.
How the data is used
- To update the status of your own job applications, prepare drafts and tentative events, and complete job-site verification steps you started.
- The text of messages about job applications is sent to an AI model provider (Anthropic) to sort replies into categories. It is not used to train models and is not shared for any other purpose.
- Verification codes are typed into the job site that asked for them and are not stored or logged.
Where it is kept
Everything stays on your own computer: the access token, a small record of each matched reply (sender, subject, date, category) and your application history. Nothing is kept on a server run by Jobhunt Agent. Data is not sold, rented or used for advertising.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Jobhunt Agent's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
- Remove the access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete the app's local data by deleting its
dataandconfig/token.jsonfiles on your computer. - Questions or deletion requests: ak.ajaysingh@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date.
